Left Hook Savate Club

I have been a student of Savate under Professeur Paul Buitron since 1992. Since that time, I have become a first generation Silver Glove of Professeur Buitron and have earned the teaching rank of Aide-Moniteur and the prestigious technical rank of Silver Glove 2. I competed in the ring over the span of 9 years, became the first Texas Champion of Boxe Francaise, and have been inducted in the Pugilism Hall of Fame in Laredo, Texas. As a teacher, my goal is to help others learn an art that has been a huge part of my life so they can enjoy, learn, and reap the benefits of Savate as I have. In addition to teaching Savate, I own Martin Strength Training. My experience includes over 27,000 private strength training sessions. I also spent 9 years as a math teacher and coach in Texas public schools. While coaching many men and women's sports, I also directed numerous strength and conditioning camps for athletes. For 3 of those years in education, I was in charge of the strength and conditioning program for the athletic department. I attended Wiley College on a baseball scholarship and graduated with a degree in Physical Education. I continue to train under Professeur Buitron after all these years because of my love of Savate and what it has given me. My purpose for both teaching Savate and personal training is just two things: 1) Teach people how to TAKE CARE OF THEMSELVES. 2) Help people ACCOMPLISH THEIR GOALS.
